Philanthropy

"To those whom my life may touch in slight measure, may I give graciously of what is mine."

Nationally, our sorority supports the research for speech and hearing impaired and The Painted Turtle Camp. Delta Zeta also has national partnerships with The Starkey Hearing Foundation, Gallaudet University, and the House Research Institute

The Painted Turtle Camp

Delta Zeta is proud to raise money for this camp. The Painted Turtle Camp is a 'one-of-a-kind camp' for children with chronic and life-threatening diseases. It is catered to children with these illnesses so that they can experience the summer camp atmosphere, while at the same time being cared for based on their condition.

Speech and Hearing Impaired

Every year Delta Zeta holds a philantrophy event called Dream Man Greek Goddess to raise money for our partnerships with speech and hearing impaired organizations. They are the Starkey Hearing Foundation, Gallaudet University, and the House Research Institute.

Dream Man Greek Goddess

Each Spring Semester, we have our annual philanthropy event Dream Man & Greek Goddess. It is the highest attended philanthropy event on NIU’s campus! It is a pageant for both fraternity men and sorority women. They are scored based on four rounds: Talent, Formal Wear, Swim Wear, and Q&A. During the week of Dream Man & Greek Goddess the Greek organizations take part in the Penny Voting for the contestants, and this concludes on the night of the event. All of the money that we raise goes toward our Nationally supported philanthropies.
